“God did, so you can!”
This revelation is the key to unlocking next level leadership in your life.
Who I am
As a former missionary/church planter’s son, I grew up in many states and several countries. I’ve been around ministry leaders my whole life. I began my personal ministry journey in my late teens, serving in my father’s church.
After marrying Kristy, my wife of 20 years, we launched our combined ministry with a six month missions trip to Botswana, Africa. Since then we have served on several large church staffs and planted two churches. Learning much from the less than stellar success of our first plant, we successfully planted Legacy Church in Kona, Hawaii. We were in Kona for 9 great years. We then served as the Tomball Campus Pastor of Grace Church in the Houston, Texas metro area.
In 2017 our family relocated to the Toledo area where I accepted the Senior Pastor position at McCord Road Christian Church.

What drives me
1I am driven by my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I received Christ at a very young age and followed up with baptism when I was 7 years old. I don't remember a time when my commitment to God was not a driving factor in my life.
The statement, "God did, so you can", is the message of my life. The fact that God did everything means that you and I can do anything. It really is as simple as that. Jesus said, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26) As the old saying goes, "He said it. I believe it. That settles it."
2 My family is second only to Christ.
Maybe it came from living in so many places and rarely knowing many people, but the family unit was always the center of my universe.
Now, with my own family, that has continued to be my reality. My wife Kristy, is my best friend and supreme confidant. We have been through much together and have a great marriage. For that I am grateful.
Watching our sons grow up is one of the greatest blessings of my life. They are both in love with Jesus and serve in different areas of ministry.
3Helping people move to the next level in their life drives my life.
I began speaking at 16 years old. My first sermon was terrible and at the close the majority of the several hundred people listening just sat there looking at me. One little girl however was able to escape from her grasping mother and ran to the altar. That day she gave her heart to Jesus. Jesus saved her soul and that moment changed my life.
