A Next Level Leader
Next Level Leadership is a big statement. It indicates that Micah Sutton can somehow lead people to the next level God has for them in their lives. It is a big statement, and it is completely true. I am a Next Level Leader.
Next Level Leadership is about helping someone move to their next level. Moses was a Next Level Leader. He took people out of slavery and led them to become a nation. Joshua was a Next Level Leader who led a wandering people into becoming a stabilized and land-owning nation. Each time, this was the “next level” for Israel.
I don’t believe I’m either Moses or Joshua to a nation, but I may be either of them to someone… or hopefully a few someones.

I’ve watched my sons move from infancy to almost graduation, and there is something at each level that can bring joy. The excitement of their first steps can’t be expressed with words. The wonder that comes from each new experience can only be experienced again by moving to their next level. Seeing the confusion turn into clarity is marvelous to watch. Each moment has its unique charm. There is something beautiful about the next level.
Seeing a man gain the confidence to go after that better job brings me joy. Hearing a lady change her vocabulary from negative to positive causes a smile to break out on my face. Watching people make positive movements in their life causes my heart to pound and my throat to constrict trying to choke back the tears. There is something beautiful about the next level.
A few months ago from this writing, I had the privilege of seeing a man that I mentor, speak in front of a substantial congregation for the first time. He has been speaking to small crowds for a while now, but this was his first opportunity on the “big stage”. He did an incredible job. He spoke with authority and clarity. He was both funny and tear inducing. He preached the word of God with boldness and humility. I watched him with tears of joy streaming from my eyes. There is something beautiful about the next level.
